Recent experience
Starwood Inspirations
Advising on Thai law considerations relevant to obtaining and selling furniture made in Thailand, over the internet. This included drafting all of the documentation and contracts related to the website.

Nok Air
Registration of five service marks for use by the international low cost airline. This procedure was complicated due to the fact that different Nok Air marks will be used on a wide variety of products.

Ladeco
Advising in relation to the registration of “Popsy” and other trademarks for use in Thailand on a range of novelty products newly introduced to the Thai market.

Cheer (Thailand)
Registration of the “Kaset Brand” trademark to be used on jasmine rice and a variety of bean products. This matter involved seeking registration in Thailand, Canada, USA and Singapore.

Paradorn Srichapan, the Thai tennis star
Registration of over 30 trademarks for use of the Thai tennis player’s name and image. Also applied for a service mark for use in a private enterprise. Our work for this client has also included lodging an objection with the Trademark Committee relating to unauthorised use of the player’s name.

Jet Cigarettes
Representing Jet Cigarettes in a dispute regarding the use of the name Jet. This case took place in the IP Court of Thailand.

OKI Systems (Thailand)
Advising in planning the arrest of counterfeiters of OKI products such as ribbon cartridges for printers.

Semperflex Asia
Advising in relation to trademark registration in Australia, Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia, Phillippines, Singapore and Taiwan.

Complex Systems
Advising on a dispute relating to licensed software used for trade finance systems.

BearingPoint (Thailand)
Advising on services contract for use by a mobile telephone operator to be used in conjunction with computer software.
