We have been involved in the establishment of a number of property funds and the purchase and management of properties and property-related assets by such funds.

Acting for the banks on the successful debt and corporate restructuring of City Realty, a major Thai real estate developer.
Amarin Plaza sale to Westbrook
Acting for Amarin Plaza on the sale of shares in Amarin Plaza Group to Westbrook. Amarin Plaza is a substantial Thai property and hotel developer and owner.
Restructuring of the Sansiri/Starwood joint venture
Advising on the restructuring of the share subscription and management rights of the parties in anticipation of a further US$20 million investment.
Securitisation of housing loans
Acting for the arranger on the securitisation of housing loans by a Thai bank.
Housing mortgages acquisition
Acting for Lehman Brothers in relation to its acquisition of housing mortgages in the FRA auctions.
Refinancing of Big C
Acting for the foreign banks in a fully secured (against country real estate and leaseholds) refinancing for Big C.
Starwood property fund
Acting for Sansiri Public Company Limited in relation to the acquisition of a majority interest by Starwood. This was a significant transaction both because of its size and its complexity. It is also significant because it is probably the first successful exit from financial difficulties by a major Thai real estate developer. It involves several share issues - a number structured in novel ways to ensure financial return to the acquirer. It also involves the purchase of FRA debt and debt for equity swaps.
Lai Sun Development restructure of hotel investment
Acting for Lai Sun Development in relation to the restructuring of its investment in the Delta Grand Pacific Hotel and the management by it of a number of Thai hotels.
Phuket golf course investment
Acting for an investor in the Blue Canyon Golf Course in Phuket.
Intercontinental management
Acting for Intercontinental in relation to the management by it of a 5 star hotel in Phnom Penh.
Sale of resort development site in Phuket
Acting for a major international hotel chain on the sale of a prime resort site on the island of Phuket.

Advising on the sale of a building, as well as ground leases and renewal options.
